Lockdown Collaboration Jam 2020. Mission brief: to use any variation of the chords in the sequence of E, G, A, E at the tempo of 160 BPM and at common or 4/4 time signature. Jam collaboration contributors in order of appearance:
Lockdown Covid-19 Alien Conspiracy Jam | Tour date 4th April 2020.
Update:
Lego tour-bus is broken. Stuck in bedroom venue, but may be able to venture to kitchen, bathroom and other venues acoustically. Astrocat, my feline roadie, says there’s no way she is going to haul gear around without tour-bus. Meow! 😀
You may recognise a couple tunes and melodies in this alien conspiracy jam. You will definitely recognise the melodies and tunes if you were around in the 80s and love science fiction. Tom Baker/Peter Davison and Doctor Who, plus the reptilian visitors in the sci-fi series, V!
Using my trusty Charvel Pro Mod San Dimas, EZ Drummer 2, EZ Mix 2, Ableton Live 10 Lite, BIAS FX, Reaper, Focusrite Scarlett Solo and other things which I can’t remember. 🙂

Short video of going through stages of constructing a guitar solo for a song, hearing the mistakes along the way and some mistakes may even ending up as accidental ideas! A long way from being finished, but going through melody ideas and improvisational ideas to achieve our end goal of a finished guitar solo.
If you would like to see a more in depth video about constructing guitar solos and various ways of doing this, please let us know in the comments below.
The guitar solo in the process of being consructed in the video is a song written by Avi Rosenfeld and vocals by Steffie Beltt.

Bite sized riff series. Interpretation of the very familar intro verse guitar riff from Message In A Bottle by The Police. Message In A Bottle was released as a single in 1979 and features on the classic Police album – Reggatta de Blanc. Guitar tab (tablature) is shown on screen, plus a short backing track is featured in the video for practicing the riff.

Bit of a rough, ready and loose guitar improvisation jam. I haven’t jammed or improvised for a long time, so thought I’d let loose and blow the cobwebs away. I like improvising with the guitar even though my playing is a bit sloppy in the video. Improvisation is always a great way to find new ideas for songs and solos too! 🙂
Gear and stuff used: Charvel San Dimas guitar, Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface, BIAS FX 2 Elite guitar effects, EZ Drummer, EZ mix and Reaper.
